Dynamic and accomplished marketing professional with 14 years of marketing experience and qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Media.

My corporate experience as a full-time employee has seen me successfully head up marketing departments for industry leading manufacturers operating on an international scale, professional service, energy, technology and cyber security companies. I am very adaptable and have worked for brands that are very niche, requiring a deep level of understanding of the business before being able to successfully implement marketing plans and strategies.

My hard-working, driven and dynamic personality led me to venture out into my own consulting business, so that I could not only personally benefit from my contributions but also not have a limit on my career growth and aspirations.

I currently work face-to-face and virtually with my clients across the UK.

Start-Ups, Marketing Strategy, Plans and Project Management

Although I highlight that I specialise in start-ups, marketing strategies, plans and project management, my experience evolves from working in marketing management roles where I have had to be a generalist marketer who understands both traditional and digital marketing and can deliver across the full marketing mix. I have a vast amount of experience working with companies to really understand what they do - sometimes very niche and technicial, understand their sales processes and then from there effectively build out their marketing strategies, activities and processes that shape their marketing department and deliver on their business needs and budget allowances.

Head of marketing for large manufacturing start-up
I was employee number 3 to start at the company, which grew to over 200 employees during my employment. With the infancy of this company my dynamic personality and deep level of understanding for the full marketing mix was of great value. I successfully established and headed up the marketing department - establishing the brand (trademarking, logo development, packaging, marketing collateral, website, marketing messaging etc.), developed robust go-to-market strategies and plans, built credibility and trust in the new brand, established PR relations and established the company's networking framework. I was really successful here, creating a very professional brand and tone in the market that suited this state-of-the-art manufacturing facility. Through my success on the networking framework, I evolved into heading up a lot of the larger sales, due to the relationships I formed with B2B contacts and customers.
Opening event attended by government officials and the press
I arranged and coordiniated the grand-opening of the solar PV manufacturing facility, a first locally owned facility of its kind. With this USP I was able to attract attention from government officials, coordinating communications to get the energy minister to attend the opening. I also coordinated all communication with the press, to get them to attend and document the opening. This publicity raised was invalueable to the facilities new brand in the market.
Rebrand for leading manufacturer that was established In 1989
After performing a marketing review and producing a long-term marketing plan for this industry leading maufacturer, I successfully managed and implemented a rebrand. This project presented tight marketing budgets and time constraints as the rebrand was part of a strategic marketing plan that required delivery by a set date. The maturity of this company, the technical nature of their products and industry as well as the global network of agents their sales processes supported, meant this project required extensive planning and strong project management support in order to achieve a successful launch.
Successfully launched a new service offering for professional services company
While working for a professional services company in the information technology sector I worked with Directors to perform market research and established a gap in their product offering that allowed for the introduction of a new service. I created a very successful marketing plan and implemented relevant strategies that saw this service, within a couple of months, rank at the top of Google, gain repeat customers from large established organisations and start scaling out on a national scale.
Group marketing lead - RNS and PR support for cyber security group
I was the group marketing lead for a publically listed company specialising in the cyber security industry. Outside of my daily marketing manager role for one of the cyber security company's within the group, I also worked closely with the group CEO to manage and write regulatory news service (RNS) releases, create the annual report, develop marketing content for the group, manage the group awards and hold monthly group marketing management meetings.
